Middlesbrough move up to sixth in the FA Women's National League Northern Premier Division after Sunday afternoon's 1-4 away win at Liverpool Feds. It took the visitors twelve minutes to score with Beck Ferguson sending the ball into the bottom corner. Shortly before the half hour, Ferguson doubled the lead with a header in the top corner but, Chloe Fisher pulled one back for Feds ten minutes later. Ferguson completed her hat trick late in the first half restoring Boro's two-goal advantage into the break. Olivia Watt's 66th minute long range goal sealed the point for Middlesbrough who now move level on points with Sunday afternoon's opponents.

Stockton Town's Teesside derby win at home over Hartlepool United in the North East Regional League North sees the hosts move up to fifth place in the table. A goal in either half from captain Anna Murphy secured the points for the home side. Murphy tried for a hat trick but, was denied by some great goalkeeping form Hartlepool's Ella Field.

In one of only two games in the North Riding League Premier Division, Redcar Athletic had to share the points with hosts Richmond Town. Beth Wilkinson gave the hosts the lead ten minutes in to the second half with Olivia Bullock levelling for Athletic quarter of an hour later. Ella Francis's hat trick wasn't enough for Redcar Town Development to get anything from their trip to York RI Reserves. The hosts scored twice as many leaving Town Devs still searching for their first points of the season.

Norton & Stockton Ancients are out of the FA Women's National League Cup after defeat at Premier Division side Burnley. The host had taken an early lead but, Louise Atkinson levelled for Norton just a few minutes later. Norton were 3-1 down at half time and conceded another three in the second half. Burnley are transitioning into a fully professional set-up and were always going to be a difficult challenge for Norton and the score doesn't do justice to the effort and performance from the visitors.

FC Hartlepool are into the Second Round of the Durham County FA Cup after this afternoon's 4-1 home win over Velocity in the First Round. FC had some work to do but, got there in the end.

Izzy McEwan's goal around the half hour gave Thornaby the lead in their North Riding County Cup Third Round Teesside derby match against Redcar Town but, Abi Foy equalised for the visitors five minutes from the break. It was a penalty heartache for Redcar after surviving a Thornaby barrage in the last ten minutes.

Guisborough Town are through to the next round after a tight home win over Old Malton St Mary’s. Guisborough were 3-2 up at half time but, the visitors from the division below equalised in the second half. A late winner from Rebecca Andrew secured passage for the hosts.
