Norton & Stockton Ancients are away at unbeaten FA Women's National League Division 1 North leaders Cheadle Town Stingers this Sunday. The hosts have won all five league games and finished last term as runners up to champions Middlesbrough. Norton have notched up four wins and two draws in nine games with two of their three defeats being by only one goal. Norton also have three clean sheets to their name. This won't be an easy game by any stretch but, the visitors are capable of causing an upset.

Redcar Town host a Teesside derby match this Sunday as they welcome newly promoted Stockton Town to Mo Park in the North East Regional League North. Redcar have had a great start to the season with three wins in four and have a 100% league record. Stockton have also had a good start to the season but, have not yet won in the league. Having narrowly lost to Park View in the opening league game, they went on to win against the same opponent in the FA Cup the following week. Stockton also made it one round further in the FA Cup than Redcar.

Two of Durham County League Premier Division's three sides without a point so far go head to head this weekend as Bishop Auckland host Pools Youth. The Pools sit above Bishop by virtue of goal difference having conceded fewer and scoring more goals. With six goals in three league games, the visitors are always in a good place to get a good result. Bishop have struggled in their opening two games suffering big losses but, that's going to have one of two possible effects on them. It'll either make them more resolute to win this weekend or knock their confidence.

Last season's North Riding League Premier Division runners-up Redcar Athletic host reigning champions Guisborough Town in a Teesside derby match at Green Lane. Guisborough suffered their first defeat of the season last week and are out to ensure it remains a minor blip. Athletic have four points from four games in the league so far and are looking to build some consistency.

Linthorpe Academicals are at home against Richmond Town on Sunday. Richmond sit at the foot of the league table having lost both of their games so far. Linthorpe have played twice as many games and have four points and are unbeaten in their last two.

Newly promoted Boro Rangers have a tough home game against Wigginton Grasshoppers this weekend. The hosts have won one of their three league games which their shock win over Guisborough last week. The visitors have won both of their league games so far and sit level on points with the top two.

FC Hartlepool finally get to play their second league game of the season three weeks after their first as they travel up to Horden Community Welfare in the Durham County League First Division. FC won their opening game against Brandon 3-0 and are looking to build on that. Horden are currently top of the division with four straight wins.

In another Teesside derby match, Stockton Town Reserves host Seaton Carew this Sunday. Stockton Reserves have made a decent start to the season with four points from four games and come up against a Seaton side just one point behind them. Seaton were unlucky last week as they lost 5-6 in a cracker of a game.

Unbeaten Fishburn Community host Birtley Town in the Durham County Leagues Development Division this Sunday. Fishburn have started the season with three straight wins and they've done it in some style with seventeen goals scored and two clean sheets. Birtley are also doing well with three wins but, also have one defeat - a 9-0 loss in their last outing. While Birtley haven't been quite as prolific as Fishburn up front, they've still hit eleven goals in four games which, is a very good return. The visitors have also kept two clean sheets showing that, the last game aside, they're also decent at the back.

Middlesbrough host Rugby Borough in the first knockout round of the FA Women's National League Cup. Boro have already played Rugby in the league this season in their first home game. That game ended 0-0 thanks to a great defensive display and a player of the match performance from Ruby Cook. Rugby are a very good side and similar heroics will be required this time around. Boro seem to have found their goalscoring boots hitting five in their last two games and, provided the defence holds up, nicking a goal might be enough against such a strong side.
